Speaker 1Not today. Today we're doing it properly, I promise.
Recorded with OBS?
OBS Studio offers MKV because a recording that's cut off by a crash or power loss stays readable, while an interrupted MP4 may not. Many streamers and podcasters record in MKV for exactly that reason.
You can upload the MKV directly. If you also want an MP4 for editing, OBS has File → Remux Recordings, which changes the container without re-encoding.
Files with several audio tracks
MKV can carry multiple audio tracks, for example game sound on one track and your microphone on another, or the same film in two languages. To be sure the transcript covers the right voice, export that track to its own audio file first with a free tool such as MKVToolNix, VLC or FFmpeg, and upload it.
In OBS you can also set the recording so your microphone is on the first track.
