Where Android keeps WhatsApp voice messages

Received voice notes are stored by WhatsApp in its media folder (WhatsApp Voice Notes), which newer Android versions hide from file managers. The simplest way to get the file is Share from the chat, then save it or open it directly in the browser upload dialog.

Live Transcribe and Gboard are different

Google's Live Transcribe and the Gboard microphone turn live speech into text. They do not read an existing voice message file. For a message you already received, use WhatsApp's transcripts or upload the file.
